The Brief
Collaborating with the architect during the planning stage, Glass Structures Limited provided a provisional cost estimate to the client. Upon securing the project, our team partnered with the architect to refine the design, ensuring it met both functional and aesthetic requirements.
Our
Approach

Once appointed, Glass Structures Limited conducted a comprehensive site meeting following the post-demolition phase to understand the project’s requirements. This enabled seamless coordination with on-site builders to prepare for our installation phase.

Design & Structural Engineering:

    • Collaborated with the architect to finalise provisional designs.
    • Engaged our structural engineer to perform detailed calculations, ensuring all components were fit for purpose and compliant with industry standards.

Unitised Glazing:

    • Managed the fabrication and installation of large frameless glazing panels with precision to achieve a seamless aesthetic.
    • Employed SADEV spider connectors in satin stainless steel for structural fittings, ensuring both durability and visual appeal.

Architectural Metalwork & Cladding:

    • Integrated bespoke architectural cladding and metalwork, harmonising these elements with the glass components for a cohesive design.

Custom Solutions:

    • Designed and installed bespoke folded handrails to complement the frameless glass balustrades.
    • Applied back-painted glass to enhance the building’s contemporary aesthetic while maintaining functionality.
